About
I build software that ships.
I'm Asiel, a full-stack engineer based in the Netherlands. By day I work as an Operations Engineer at a power trading platform; outside of that I build software across the entire stack — from database schema to deployment pipeline. Currently studying ICT at Inholland with a focus on shipping things that actually work in production.
Philosophy
How I work
Ship with confidence
Code that isn't in production isn't solving problems. I bias toward shipping and iterating.
Depth over breadth
I'd rather understand a system deeply than touch everything superficially.
Design matters
Good software is also well-designed software. The interface is part of the product.
Own the full stack
From the database schema to the deployment pipeline — I care about every layer.

Operations Engineer & Incident Manager
Etpa - A new way of power trading
March 2026 — Present
Own incident response end-to-end for a real-time power-trading platform, coordinating triage, resolution and communication to minimise downtime during live market hours. Maintain monitoring and alerting across services, reducing noise and surfacing issues before they reach traders. Automated manual operational tasks using different technology frameworks saving a lot of manual effort. Act as the bridge between operations and engineering, feeding incident root causes back into the development backlog so they get fixed, not just patched.

Software Developer
Etpa - A new way of power trading
September 2025 — February 2025
Built and maintained API integrations connecting the trading platform to custom API documentation systems, enabling participants/users to have a friendlier onboarding when implementing Etpa's API's Shipped features through CI/CD pipelines, reducing release friction and deployment time and error rate. Developed backend services in Java against SQL/NoSQL data stores.

Bachelor of ICT — Information Technology
HBO Inholland
September 2022 — Present
Studying Information Technology with focus on full-stack development, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software architecture. Building real-world projects across multiple tech stacks.
